ARSSL WARD 2022 - Field Day - Launch
The ARSSL launched into existence with a bang on World Amateur Radio Day 2022 by having a Field day exercise. This exercise took place at Edge Water Beach. From 8 am we had an established presence and antennae set up. A couple of tents gave us the shade needed and space to setup shack! Onsite were J69BB Rosemond, J69BP Terry , J66BS Andrew, J69DL Dave, J66AVB AltheaJ69DS Frans, Wilbert, Lusius Lake, Lichen Minot, and their families.
We worked 10 15 20 40 meters Sideband and ft8, 2 meters over the node and many of us joined the WARD day long net held on the Roc-Ham nodes. Also had Sat contact with VP2EIH on Ao91! It was a great outing and all had great fun.
ARSSL presented Rock Jean J66RJ with a Balun to aid his station building! The Balun was a EZ Antenna balun.
Antennae used were EZ Antenna verticals, Buddipule vertical, 40 full size vertical and a wire dipole.
